16th October 2003 - Chris Baxter's Retirement
It is with great regret that after nine years, we now say "au revoir" to Chris Baxter. Chris has finally decided to hang up his black belt in light of changing commitments in his life.
Over the years, Chris has been an invaluable member of the club and has been John's right-hand man as the club grew from strength to strength. In his capacity as Assistant Instructor he has motivated and trained countless students and helped them to achieve success on the grade ladder.

Gaining his black belt in 2001, Chris is a well-known and well-liked Ogwen Veteran having attended for many years.
With Chris's departure, Alex Buxton has agreed to step up to the challenge of filling his shoes as Assistant Instructor.
So, best of luck Chris in whatever you chose to do, Luton Higashi is proud to have had you as a member and we hope that you will return in the future whenever you can as a guest instructor, and to help us as a judge in grading panels.
