Luton Instructors with Sifu Rob Simpson

The Luton Lunatics were once again honoured to welcome Sifu Rob Simpson to the dojo as their guest instructor. Rob is one of the world's leading shaolin kung fu masters and his seminars always prove to be enlightening and a little frightening.

This year we had a four hour session; the first two of which were dedicated to the higher grades. He taught us a basic bo staff kata. It was totally different to the normal karate we do and so the higher grades felt the excitement of being beginners again as we learnt a new art.

After this was over, the rest of the class joined and we went though a number of locks, throws and strikes. Again, this was very different to what we normally learn so it was a treat for all involved.

We would like to extend our thanks to Sifu Rob Simpson for his time and we hope to see him in the dojo again soon!
