Luton Higashi Student of the Year Awards - December 2009

It is again time to publicly recognise the students who had put the most into the club and who had got the most out of it. This year's winnersrs were:

Junior Student of the Year - Omari Asein

Omari has been training with the Luton Lunatics for a number of years now. The instructors have noticed that in the last 12 months, his karate has really taken off. Added to this Omari's willingness to help the lower graded students, the instructors chose Omari as the Junior Student of the Year

Senior Student of the Year - Hayley Blagg

Hayley has had a good few years. Last year she was voted the Junior Student of the Year and now that she is eligible to win the Senior Student of the Year, she did exactly that!

Her enthusiasm towards karate is plain to see. She was awarded her brown belt in 2009 with a first class pass. She is always keen to help with the running of the club and also likes to help teach other students. Added to this, she also won a clutch of competition medals in 2009. Well done Hayley!

8th Kyu, 3rd Class Pass - Saqib Akram

And last but not least, Saqib Akram was delighted when he was awarded his red belt on the last lesson of the year.
