Successful promotions go to Jeff, Michelle, Kayleigh, Katie, Matt, Mel, David, Andy and (front) James, Zahra, Nadia and Leanna

This proved to be another very large grading for the Luton club. It started at 9.30 in the morning where the potential brown belts were put through their paces until midday. In the afternoon the lower grades took their turns to grade.

All in all, there were very good performances throughout the day.

Grading 13th March 2005

Judging Panel: John Hurley (3rd Dan), Alex Buxton (1st Dan), Sam Wright (1st Kyu)

Special congratulations should go to Zahra for the determination she showed to attain her first class green belt pass.

Also, there were three novices - Kayleigh, Leanne and Katie - who double graded to get their yellow belts. They put on excellent shows and Luton Higashi will be expecting big things from them in the future!

We also welcome our two new brown belts - Jeff and Michelle.

The undefatigable James Mason impressed the judges by taking the two-hour gruelling grading without showing any fatigue at all. Then he went on to help with the parallel-running lesson and came back in again to help with the lower grade grading. He did take Monday off school though!

Well done everybody!
