Alex took his Black Belt grading at the July 2003 Kata Course run by Chief Instructor Peter Spanton at Forest Gate.
Alex and his fellow candidates took the grading at the end of the afternoon course in 28 degree heat!
Like Chris before him, Alex prepared for his grading by training at Peter Spanton's club weekly so that he could get trained by the 7th Dan in person.
Most of the Luton club were present to give Alex moral support and to cheer him on.
