Ayushi took her 1st Kyu brown belt grading at the December 2004 Kata Course run by Chief Instructor Peter Spanton at Forest Gate.

The grading took place after the two-hour course and Ayushi was joined by a number of other hopefuls.

Ayushi trained very hard for her grading and was not only selected for the National Kata Squad in the process, but also achieved a world championship medal! On the day, she impressed the judges and passed with a 1st class pass.
