This was another large grading with 11 hopefuls. Everyone proved to be of the standard required and there was a 100% pass rate. The highlights of the grading were as follows:

Karen Tomkins - Having only started karate in the spring of 2007, Karen has excelled in her gradings. This grading was no exception and, as well as achieving her coveted brown belt, she was also awarded a first class pass. Karen's dedication to karate continues outside the dojo where she is the club secretary and events organizer. Congratulations Karen!

Alan "Mad Doc" Wiles - Doc also put on a fantastic performance to achieve a 2nd class pass on his brown belt. He has been training for two years and in that time has shown extraordinary effort and dedication. He was so aggressive in his grading that he had to be asked to tone down his fighting! Well done, Doc.

Amy Tomset - Amy has trained with us for just a few months but she takes in information like a sponge. Her standard was so high that the judges double graded her to yellow.

Fiona Dow - Fiona has also only been training for a few months and her outstanding performance on the day meant that she was awarded a first class pass.

Well done to all the gradees!
