World Champion Instructs at Luton February 2010

Luton Lutantics with Collin (front row, second from left)
In February 2010 the Lunatics were proud to welcome former World Kumite Champion Colin Health to our Dojo to host a competition-based seminar.
The seminar began with a warm up that involved hundreds of press-ups and crunches. with Sensei Heath ensuring that everybody worked up a sweat. When we were all warmed up to Sensei Heath's satisfaction we moved onto stance work and using them to position ourselves into the most advantageous places when sparring.
Sensei Heath emphasized that speed and direction of movement were more beneficial than strength when in a competition, and demonstrated several different kicking techniques that can be used to confuse your opponent.
We moved onto pad work and using a variety of punching techniques to work around our opponents guard - this was very, very tiring and left most of us unable to lift our arms for some time after!!
Above - Higher Grades with Collin
The Lunatics had a fantastic time and extend our thanks to Sensei Heath who we hope to welcome back to our Dojo soon.
